Dark fantasy manga Black Butler has revealed a key visual and behind the scenes video for its fourth season!
The visual stars not only Ciel and Sebastian, but also the boys of Prefect 4 (also known as P4), the four heads of house at Weston College, the setting of the upcoming Public School arc.
In the BTS video, fans can see character designer Yumi Shimizu bring Ciel and Sebastian to life for a special illustration that will be distributed at an advance screening on March 24.
Originally a manga by Yana Toboso, Black Butler follows Ciel Phantomhive, a teenage aristocrat whose well-known family solves high-profile crimes. Ciel works with his butler, Sebastian Michaelis, who is actually a demon that has made a pact with the boy: he’ll be more than happy to help find those who murdered Ciel’s parents... in exchange for his soul, of course.
The TV anime adaptation began in 2008 with second and third seasons airing in 2010 and 2014. It continued with a two-part OVA, Book of Murder, in 2014 and a film, Book of the Atlantic, in 2017.
Black Butler Season 4 will air in Japan from April 13, 2024.
