Last year TRAGsoft and Freedom Games launched Coromon on PC and Switch, and while rough around the edges in some ways it managed to build up quite a cult following for fans of Pokemon looking for an indie’s take on the formula. The plan was always to also bring the game to mobile devices, and while it’s been a long time coming, that day is finally almost upon us as today the developers have announced that Coromon will be hitting iOS and Android in just a couple of weeks on Wednesday, November 8th. Here’s a brand new trailer if you want to see what the game is all about.
Coromon boasts 120 different species to catch and tame, and in addition to a 30+ hour single-player story mode there’s also a randomizer and endless Battle Dome mode so you should never be lacking when the monster catching-taming-battling mood strikes. It also sounds like progression will carry over across platforms and the online multiplayer battling will also work cross platform. If that’s the case, that’s pretty awesome. Coromon on mobile will launch as a free to try game so you can check if it’s for you or not, and then there’s a $4.99 IAP to unlock the full game if you like what you see. Keep an eye out for this early next month.
