‘Marvel Snap’ Loki for All Time New Season Revealed for September 2023

It’s that time again, true believers. The Big in Japan season of Marvel Snap (Free) is wrapping up, and that means a new season is upon us. With the second season of Loki coming up soon on Disney Plus, there’s no better time for the God of Mischief to make his appearance in Second Dinner’s awesome card battler. He’s bringing some of his friends with him, too. Are you ready for Loki for All Time? Let’s see what’s in store for us!

Naturally, the star of the show is Loki himself. He’s a 3-Cost 5-Power card with the On Reveal ability to replace your hand with cards from your opponent’s starting deck. They all have -1 Cost, so you can play them more cheaply than your opponent can. I can certainly see some possibilities here, but this is going to be a tricky card to make the most of. Perhaps suitable for Loki, I suppose. Loki is the Season Pass card this time around, so you’ll have to pay the price if you want him immediately. You’ll get some other goodies with that of course, including some variants, boosters, and more.

Let’s check the rest of new cards for this season, which will be available via the Token Shop and Spotlight Caches as usual. Alioth is a 6-Cost 5-Power card with an On Reveal ability that destroys all enemy cards played at the location on the same turn, including unrevealed cards. Well, that’s a cold cup of coffee. Next we’ve got Mobius M. Mobius, Loki’s buddy at the TVA. He’s a 2-Cost 3-Power card, and his Ongoing ability makes it so that your Costs can’t be increased and your opponent’s Costs can’t be decreased. Hm, he almost works as a Loki counter. That isn’t very partner-like of him! Finally, we’ve got Ravonna Renslayer. She’s a 3-Cost 3-Power card with the Ongoing ability to reduce the Cost of your cards with 1 or less Power by 1 point. Oh, that one is interesting.

As for new Locations, there are two to check out this time. The Time Theater makes it so that you receive a copy of the last card you drew instead of your next card. That could be fun. The other location is a bit more spicy. Literally and figuratively. If Mount Vesuvius appears, neither player is able to retreat after Turn 5. Wait around too long and you’re stuck losing those final Cubes! As usual, the charming and enthusiastic Ben Brode presents all of this information via the linked YouTube video above. Warning: it features some influencers this time. They seem nice enough, though.

That’s it for Loki for All Time, which will be launching when the day rolls over tonight. This is certainly a more unusual slate of new cards, not fitting into any of the usual deck archetypes. It will be neat to see how they all fit into the meta. Speaking of, we’ll have our new deck building guide ready for you tomorrow, just in case you need some tips for putting together some winning hands. What do you think of this new season?
