We recently had not only Pikmin 4, but also Pikmin 1+2 hit Nintendo Switch. Read Shaun’s thoughts on them here and here. With those releases, the entire main Pikmin series is playable on Nintendo Switch. The series has never felt bigger than it is right now, and Nintendo just released (via Press Start) a free mobile browser-based AR game titled Pikmin Finder. Pikmin Finder is aimed as a distraction and use during Nintendo’s Nintendo Live expo, but it can be used at home as well. It is quite simple. Check out screenshots from my phone below:
If you’d like to try Pikmin Finder, head over to this link on your phone browser. This uses Niantic’s AR technology as well. Pikmin Bloom from Nintendo is also available as a free game on iOS and Android. We featured Pikmin Bloom as our Game of the Week when it released. If you’d like to try it out, you can download Pikmin Bloom for free on the App Store for iOS here and Google Play for Android here. Head over to our forum thread here for more discussion around it. What do you think of the many Pikmin games available on current platforms?
