Bandai Namco Entertainment just announced a brand new Taiko no Tatsujin game for mobile in the form of Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythm Connect. Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythm Connect follows Taiko no Tatsujin Pop Tap Beat from Bandai Namco Entertainment on mobile, but this new entry will be free to play with in app purchases. It will be a rhythm game as you’d expect, and support portrait gameplay as shown in the trailer below. The current Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythm Connect song list is here featuring over 600 songs. The gameplay will be ad-supported. Watch the Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythm Connect announcement trailer below:
Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythm Connect is planned for release in Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau as of now and it will be a free download. The game will support English, but an international release hasn’t been announced as of this writing. A release date in general hasn’t been announced but you will be able to play with your friends on LINE messenger. Check out the official English website here. I liked the Apple Arcade release in the series quite a bit. Read my review of it here. There’s a “how to play" section on the official website as well explaining game flow and more. What do you think of Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythm Connect and would you try it if it released in North America and Europe?
