Kizuna no Allele, an original anime project based on VTuber Kizuna AI, is now set to premiere on April 3!
The show's second trailer and visual was also revealed. The trailer uses the song "mirAI wave!" by PathTLive, an in-story group that features five characters: Miracle, Quan, Noelle, Chris, and Riz. Fans can also listen to a snippet of "Yosuga," which is performed by #kzn, an AI that's based on Kizuna AI's voice and is specialized in singing.
Kizuna no Allele was first announced at Kizuna AI The Last Live “hello, world 2022," the VTuber's last concert before her current indefinite hiatus.
Set in a world where Kizuna AI has disappeared after winning a huge award, the story follows a girl called Miracle, who enrolls in Aden Academy, where she connects with other students striving to become virtual talents.
The show will be directed by Kenichiro Koyama and produced by Wit Studio in collaboration with Signal.MD. It will star Ayumi Hinohara as Miracle, Rina Kawaguchi as Quan, Yuka Nukui as Noelle, Hikari Kodama as Chris, and Aria Hanawa as Riz.
After debuting in 2016, Kizuna AI went on to become a pioneer of the VTuber (Virtual YouTuber) phenomenon that captured both Japanese and overseas audiences. In her persona as a self-proclaimed artificial intelligence, she sings, dances, plays games and more, both inside and outside her YouTube channels. As of November 2022, her main channel, A.I. Channel, has over 3 million subscribers.
Kizuna no Allele will air from April 3, 2023.
