SEGA just announced a brand new mobile RPG as a collaboration with Yoko Taro (NieR, Drakengard, and more). Yoko Taro will be the creative director on this project. It will feature art from Yuugen who is most known for Atelier Sophie. The game, titled 404 Game Re:Set , will feature various SEGA brands and IP from other companies redone as girls. The example characters shown are Out Run, Virtua Fighter, and more. SEGA had a live stream a few hours ago showcasing the game and detailing what players can expect. Watch it below:
As of now, 404 Game Re:Set doesn’t have a confirmed release date, but it has a placeholder date listed on the App Store with pre-orders and pre-registrations now live for Japan. It has not been announced for an international release yet. I’m not sure it will make its way out of Japan, but would love to be wrong. If you’d like to check it out for its Japanese release, pre-order 404 Game Re:Set on the App Store for iOS here and on Google Play for Android here. The store listings also have some screenshots showcasing the gameplay. The official website here. What do you think of the 404 Game Re:Set reveal so far?
