Isekai franchise Sword Art Online is taking the stage with a live show that will feature the anime's original voices!
Titled Sword Art Online: Dive to Stage, the show is set to run from November 8 to 13, 2022 at Tokyo International Forum. It will combine the performance of physical actors with both existing and new lines from the anime's Aincrad arc as voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Kirito), Haruka Tomatsu (Asuna), and more.
Rin Matsubara will play Kirito alongside Minami Tsukui as Asuna, Yui Oikawa as Rin, and Momoko Suzuki as Silica.
Sword Art Online began in 2002 with Reki Kawahara's web novel series, which went on to become a light novel series. The TV anime debuted in 2012, with Season 2 in 2014 and Season 3 from 2018 to 2020.
Numerous anime films have also been released, with the most recent installment being Sword Art Online Progressive: Scherzo of a Dark Dusk, which premiered in October 2022.
